πλακώνω • (plakóno) (simple past πλάκωσα, passive πλακώνομαι)

1. (transitive) fall down on, crash down, come down on (collapse so that the remains are on top of)

   Η στέγη πλάκωσε τους εργάτες. ― I stégi plákose tous ergátes. ― The roof crashed down on the workers.

2. (transitive, intransitive, figuratively) fall, come on (to progress, to develop, to arrive)

3. (transitive) press down, squash, crush, smother, oppress (put pressure on)
