yorulmak

Turkish

Etymology 1

From Ottoman Turkish [script needed] (yorulmak, to be tired), from Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (yorul-, to be tired). According to Nişanyan the term is derived from Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (yorı-, to walk),[1] see yürümek for more. Or alternatively passive of yormak (to tire), however Nişanyan also thinks yor- is a back-formation from this verb.
