English

Etymology

From late Old English wræstlunge.

Verb

wrestling

Noun

wrestling (countable and uncountable, plural wrestlings)

  1. A sport where two opponents attempt to subdue each other in bare-handed grappling using techniques of leverage, holding, and pressure points.

    • Jean Ingelow
