shoh

Albanian

Etymology

From Proto-Albanian *sākska, from Proto-Indo-European *sekʷ- ‘to follow’[1] (compare English see, Greek έπομαι (épomai)).

Aorist pashë may be from Proto-Indo-European *(s)peḱje/o ‘to look at’ (compare English spy, Latin specere). However, Orel rejects this etymology and instead assigns it to Proto-Indo-European *peh₂-.[1]
