Cognate with Scots landskape, landskep, landskip (“landscape”), West Frisian lânskip (“landscape”), Low German landschop (“landscape, district”), German Landschaft (“landscape, countryside, scenery”), Swedish landskap (“landscape, scenery, province”), Icelandic landskapur (“countryside”).
