   Note: It can also mean "What's my name?" or "What's our name?" (Or: How do people refer to me/us when they speak about me/us?) If unambiguity is required, téged, titeket, engem, or minket can be added.

   Hogy hívják? (formal) ― What's your name? (literally, “How are you called?”)

   Note: It can also mean "What's his/her/its/their name?" If unambiguity is required, önt, önöket, őt, őket, ezt/azt or ezeket/azokat can be added.

In terms of introducing people, the verb's indefinite form (e.g. hívnak in present tense) is used to express when someone calls (literally "they call") me or us or you in the informal way, singular or plural (or somebody, an indefinite, unspecified person), that is, when I am called, we are called, or (informal) you are called, i.e. "my name" or "our name(s)", or (informal) "your name" is referred to, I am introduced, we are introduced, or (informal) you are introduced.

On the other hand, its definite form (e.g. hívják in present tense) is used to express when someone calls (literally "they call") him, her, it, them, or you in the formal way (or another definite person or several definite people), that is, when he/she/it is called or they are called or (formal) you are called, i.e. "his/her/its name", "their name(s)" or (formal) "your name" is referred to, he/she/it is introduced, they are introduced or (formal) you are introduced.
