Usage notes
- In Vietnam, Chính phủ is the executive branch of the government, as opposed to the legislative branch known as Quốc hội (“National Assembly”) and the judicial branch known as Toà án Nhân dân Tối cao (“Supreme People's Court”). It is divided into bộ (“ministries”). It is headed by a thủ tướng (“prime minister”). Its local counterparts are called uỷ ban nhân dân (“people's committee”).
