  1. Suffix used to form adjectives from nouns, meaning "having X".

    крыло́ (kryló, wing) + -а́тый (-átyj)крыла́тый (krylátyj, winged)
    рог (rog, horn) + -а́тый (-átyj)рога́тый (rogátyj, horned)

Usage notes

This suffix sometimes palatalises -к- (внук (vnuk)внуча́тый (vnučátyj)), and sometimes doesn't (язы́к (jazýk)языка́тый (jazykátyj)); however, it never palatalises -г-.
