Spartacus (album)

Spartacus is een album van de Duitse progressieve rockgroep Triumvirat. Het is het derde album van de groep en verscheen in 1975. Het conceptalbum is gebaseerd op de Romeinse gladiator Spartacus. Op het album brengt de groep weer hun typische progressieve rock met opvallende keyboards, gitaar en drums, maar wel doorweven met aanstekelijke melodieën en songs. Het was een van de succesvolle albums van de groep, en haalde in de VS zelfs de Billboard top 30. Op een heruitgave uit 2002 werden als bonusnummers een live-uitvoering van "The Capital of Power" en het nummer "Showstopper" toegevoegd.
