Rattus salocco
Rattus salocco is een knaagdier uit het geslacht Rattus dat voorkomt op Celebes. Deze soort is alleen bekend van het zuidoostelijke schiereiland van Celebes, op 300 en 1500 m hoogte. Dit dier behoort tot de zogenaamde Rattus xanthurus-groep, die mogelijk een apart geslacht vormt. Hoewel deze soort meestal als een ondersoort van Rattus xanthurus wordt gezien, werd in 2005 verwezen naar een nog ongepubliceerd artikel waarin wordt aangetoond dat R. salocco een aparte soort is, het meest verwant aan R. marmosurus.[2]
