Op het Eurovisiesongfestival 1956 - het allereerste - mocht elk deelnemend land twee liedjes afvaardigen. België had dat jaar twee verschillende vertegenwoordigers gestuurd: Fud Leclerc en Mony Marc. Ze zong het liedje Le plus beau jour de ma vie.
