Locomotion is een nummer van de Britse new waveband Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark uit 1984. Het is de eerste single van hun vijfde studioalbum Junk Culture.

Het nummer werd een top 10-hit op de Britse eilanden en behaalde in het thuisland de 5e positie. In Nederland was de plaat op vrijdag 27 april 1984 Veronica Alarmschijf op Hilversum 3 en werd een grote hit. De plaat bereikte in de Nederlandse Top 40 en de TROS Top 50 de 5e positie. In de Nationale Hitparade bereikte de plaat de 8e positie. In België bereikte de plaat de 4e positie in de Vlaamse Radio 2 Top 30.
