Het weerstation is permanent met acht personen bemand. Danmarkshavn is de noordelijkste plaats aan de oostkust van Groenland die door niet-ijsbrekers kan worden bereikt. Eens per twee jaar wordt Danmarkshavn in augustus door een schip bevoorraad.
