Chromonephthea formosana is een zachte koraalsoort uit de familie Nephtheidae. De koraalsoort komt uit het geslacht Chromonephthea. Chromonephthea formosana werd in 1903 voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Kükenthal.
