Wuling Hongguang S1

The Wuling Hongguang S1 (Chinese: 五菱宏光S1) is a compact MPV manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling, the joint venture of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, Wuling Motors and GM China.

Not to be confused with Wuling Hongguang, Wuling Hongguang S3, or Wuling Rongguang.

Overview

The Wuling Hongguang S1 is positioned slightly above the Wuling Hongguang and Wuling Hongguang S MPVs. In Indonesia, the Wuling Hongguang S1 is sold by SAIC-GM-Wuling Motor Indonesia since 2017 as Wuling Confero,[1][2] where it was launched to the public on 2 August 2017. The commercial variant of the Confero, called Wuling Formo, which is available in panel/blind van and 8-seater passenger van/wagon (minibus), was launched on 7 November 2018.[3][4][5] The name "Confero" means "togetherness" in Latin,[6] while "Formo" means "to form" in the same language.[7]
