The school has held specialist technology status since 2004, and converted to become an academy in 2013. It has around 1200 pupils on roll.[1]

Woking High School has attained many awards including the British Council 'International School' award, 'Healthy Schools' award, 'Investors in People' Gold award, 'Sainsbury's School Games Mark', 'Sportsmark Gold', 'Artsmark Gold', 'ICT Mark', 'Investors in Careers' award, 'Working in Partnership with Parents' award, 'Financial Management Standards in Schools (FMSiS)' award, 'Eco-Schools Silver Award' and 'Investing in Community Engagement (ICE)' award, as well as the 'Technology Specialist School' status.

House system

The school houses are Brunel (yellow), Curie (red), Faraday (blue) and Stephenson (green). There are two tutor groups from every year group in each house.
