History

WSNJ 1240 AM went on the air in 1937. WSNJ signed on its first FM Translator, W260BW, on 99.9 FM in Bridgeton, New Jersey which has since moved to Swedesboro, New Jersey and has increased its power and height. In 2018, WSNJ signed on its second FM Translator, W260DK, in Millville, New Jersey which broadcasts to the Vineland, New Jersey market while, W260BW, broadcasts to New Castle County, Delaware and the western part of South Jersey.[1]

On June 4, 2020, 1240 AM and 99.9 FM rebranded to, Pop-FM 99.9, still retaining it's Full Service Adult Contemporary format. With the Pop in the name standing for “Power of Positivity”, WSNJ states that the station will focus on positivity and good things going on in the world. The station continues to feature “The Positive Perspective” morning show hosted by John Salvatore and Yamira Velez from 8-10am.[2]
