Career

Uma Padmanabhan was born in 1965, had her early education in Chennai and graduated in commerce from SIET, Nandanam.[1] When SUN TV was founded in 1993, she applied for the job of a compere in the channel.[1] After serving as a news reader for a short time, Uma was chosen to host the programme Vanakkam Tamizhagam.[1] She has also acted in Tamil TV serials like Veetukku Veedu Looty and hosted TV programmes like Chellame Chellam and Oru Thaayin Sabatham
