Plot

Priyamanaval is the marriage story of Uma (Praveena) and Krishnan (Tamilian). Uma, who is a Sri Lankan refugee and Krishna started their married life from scratch to eventually become rich by their hard work and honesty. They are a genuinely understandable couple for each other, who do anything to keep each other happy. Their happy married life blossoms into a happy family with the arrival of their four sons.

In their struggled journey, they are supported by two people, and the first one is Vaithi (Krishnan's maternal uncle's son). Vaithi disowned his parents after they tried to kill Krishna and Uma for their love, and he has been supporting Uma and Krishna since then. Second is Ayyavu(Krishna's close friend), who supports them in their love marriage. Ayyavu and Krishna started a successful jewellery transport company with the help of Ayyavu's wife. Eshwari, Ayyavu's wife is not happy with having Krishna and Uma in partnership with the company and throws Krishna out of the company. Uma gives Krishna all her jewels and helps him start a new transport company named "UMA TRANSPORTS". Over time, Uma Transports becomes highly successful, and the couple grows rich. At the same time, Ayyavu faces loss and ends up in jail, and his family ends up on the streets. When Krishna learns of what has happened, he helps Ayyavu and offers him a job, working at Uma Transports. He is highly loyal to Krishna.

After 30 years of marriage, Uma and Krishna have a happy family, with their four grown-up sons. Their sons love them dearly and also follow the path of righteousness like their parents. Krishna is now a VIP in the city, and the couple is known for the donations and charity they provide for the needy. Everyone well respects them because of their impartial nature towards the poor and rich. Despite having all the luxuries, Uma desires to lead a happy life with her four sons, their wives, and her grandchildren.

While Ayyavu, his brother ACP Rathnam and his daughter Selvi are loyal and have a great bond with Uma's family, his wife Eshwari and his son Kannan are always jealous of their wealth. Kannan is still making plans to destroy their family and steal their assets. He is joined by Krishna's maternal uncle and his family who also seek revenge from them. Just as all their children start to lead a happy married life, they face a substantial loss and are drawn into the streets.

Facing hardships from all all corners of life, Krishna and Uma finally realised their dream of a joint family with their sons. Eventually, they attained all their assets back and lead a happy life. This forms the plot of the story. The story revolves mainly around the marriage life of their sons and bonding the sons and daughters-in-law have to the joint family.
