Tremors: Island Fury

Tremors: Island Fury (also known as Tremors 7 or Tremors 7: Island Fury) is an upcoming American direct-to-video monster film directed by Don Michael Paul and co-written with Brian Brightly.[1] It will be the seventh film in the Tremors franchise. The film will star Michael Gross, Jon Heder, Jackie Cruz, and Richard Brake.

The film will be released direct-to-video in October 2020, by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

Premise

The film centers on Graboids that have been illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy as a dangerous form of trophy hunting. Serving as a twisted spin on The Most Dangerous Game, it is up to Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) to save the day.[2]

Production

Development

On December 13, 2018, Michael Gross confirmed that Universal Pictures had ordered a seventh entry in the series and that he would return to star, stating "Tremors fans will be delighted to know I have just agreed to the terms of a contract for a seventh film. My best estimate is that Burt Gummer will begin his hunt for Graboids and other nefarious forms of wildlife in the fall of 2019."[3]

Filming

On November 13, 2019, filming began in Thailand.[4][5][6] On November 26, 2019, Jon Heder, Jackie Cruz, and Richard Brake signed on to star alongside Gross.[7][8][9] On December 12, 2019, Gross confirmed that filming had wrapped.[2][10]

Release

Tremors: Island Fury will be released direct-to-video in October 2020, by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.[11][12]
