Toužim

Toužim (Czech pronunciation: [ˈtouʒɪm]; German: Theusing) is a town in the Czech Republic, upper the river Střela. Initially it was the site of a Premonstratensian provostry founded around 1200; the surrounding fortified town was founded in 1469. Monument: Historical centre with castle, church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary, column of the Virgin Mary, town hall, Middle Ages citizen house, fragment of the town wall. Economy: Metal works and food industry, agriculture, forestry, services. Transport: Main road E49, local railway, internal airfield in Přílezy.

Aeroklub Toužim

Aeroklub Toužim (ICAO: LKTO) is located near Karlovy Vary in Western Bohemia, Czech Republic, outside of the town. The airfield is used by gliders and ultralight aircraft. Aeroklub Touzim provides a place for pilots and aviation enthusiasts to obtain certifications and participate in aviation sports. Many pilots use the airfield as a training base.[1]
