Thaenmozhi B.A-Uratchi Manra Thalaivar is a Tamil language drama airing on Star Vijay. It premiered on 26 August 2019 starring Jacqueline and Siddharth.[1] It is the remake of Star Bharat Hindi series Nimki Mukhiya.[2]

Synopsis

When Thenmozhi, a pampered girl from a middle-class family, beats the village head in an election, he makes his son, Arul, marry her to ensure that the family's reputation remains intact.

Production

The production and shooting of all Indian television series and films were halted, due to Covid-19 outbreak, on 19 March 2020 and were supposed to resume after 31 March 2020.[4] However, due to nationwide full lockdown imposed from 25 March 2020, it could not resume and the last new episode was broadcast on 27 March 2020.[5] The shootings resumed after granted permission in early June 2020 and the new episodes of the series started to telecast on 10 June 2020.[6][7] However within three days of airing, on 12 June 2020, airing one again halted after Tamilnadu Government announced full lockdown from 19 June 2020 to 30 June 2020 for Chennai and its surrounding three districts and the production was also once again halted.[8]

International broadcast

The series was released on 26 August 2019 on Vijay TV and Vijay TV HD. It was also broadcast internationally on Channel's international distribution.
