Stefan Crichton

Stefan Brook Crichton (born February 29, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Baltimore Orioles.

Career

Crichton attended Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas and played college baseball at Texas Christian University (TCU).

Baltimore Orioles

He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 23rd round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.[1]

Crichton was called up to the majors for the first time on April 13, 2017.[2] He was sent back down after the game, but recalled on April 16. He made his Major League debut the same day, where he pitched 123 innings, allowing two runs and striking out two batters. Crichton was designated for assignment on March 29, 2018.

Arizona Diamondbacks

On April 2, 2018, the Orioles traded Crichton to the Arizona Diamondbacks for a player to be named later or cash. Crichton was released on June 23, 2018.[3] Crichton was re-signed on a minor-league deal on June 27. He opened the 2019 season back with the Reno Aces.[4] For the season with Arizona, he was 1-0 in 28 games. He struck out 33 batters in 30 13 innings.
