Silvia Ziche

Silvia Ziche (Italian pronunciation: [ˈsilvja ˈdziːke]; born 5 July 1967) is an Italian comic book artist and writer, known for her work in Disney comics for the Italian comic digest Topolino.

Biography

Ziche was born in Thiene. Her drawing style is simplistic and comical, and includes many funny facial expressions on the characters. As well as Disney comics, Ziche has also worked on the magazines Linus, Comix and Cuore.

She is popular for long stories published during successive editions of Topolino, such as "Paperina di Rivondosa",[1] "Topokolossal",[2] "Il papero del mistero",[3] "Il Grande Splash"[4] and "Papere alla deriva".[5]

Awards and honours

Ziche won the 1997 Lucca Comics' Panther Award for Best Emerging Author[6] and the 1999 Lucca Comics' Panther Award for Best Designer of Humorous Comics.[7]
