History

The studio was founded at the beginning of 2013 by Masaaki Yuasa and Eunyoung Choi after Yuasa received an offer from Cartoon Network to work on the Adventure Time episode "Food Chain", which Yuasa worked as director, writer, and storyboard artist, with Choi being the co-director, and the animation being produced by the newly formed studio.[2][3]

On March 25, 2020, Masaaki Yuasa retired as president and representative director of Science Saru.[4] As a result, Eunyoung Choi became CEO and president of Science Saru.[5][6]
