Saumlaki

Saumlaki is a village on Yamdena Island, in the Tanimbar Islands, Maluku, Indonesia. Its population at the 2010 Census was 12,462.[1] Christianity is the main religion of the village, as it was visited by the Dutch in 1629 and claimed by them in 1639, although a lot of the town also follows original Indonesian religions. The village is very remote and outside access to it is limited.[2]
