Sadha

Sadaf Mohammed Sayed, better known as Sadha, is an Indian actress who mainly appears in South Indian cinema. She was introduced to the Telugu film industry by the director Teja along with Nithin in the film Jayam (2002). Her most notable films in Tamil are Jayam (2003), Aethiree (2004), Anniyan (2005), Priyasakhi (2005), Unnale Unnale (2007) and Torchlight (2018). She works mostly in Tamil and Telugu films.

Personal life

Sadha was born into a Muslim family in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Her father is a doctor and her mother was working with The New India Insurance Co. Ltd.[2] She was educated the Sacred Heart Convent High School in at Ratnagiri and then moved to Mumbai, where she was offered Teja's teenage love story Jayam in Telugu, which went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of that year.

Career

After making a remarkable debut with Jayam, Sadha appeared in the Tamil movie Anniyan, opposite Vikram directed by Shankar. Since then, she has appeared in a number of films across the movie industries of India, in different languages including Monalisa in Kannada and Click in Hindi.

In 2014, Sadha joined as a judge for the ninth season of Jodi No 1 on Vijay TV.

In 2016, Sadaa started to judge Dhee Juniors 1 & 2, a dance-based show produced by Mallemala productions in Telugu. she is a judge on Dhee Jodi with Sekhar Master, with each season running over a period of one year. It is a weekly show that is broadcast on Wednesdays at 9:30 pm IST on ETV Telugu. She is known for her dressing style in the show.

After Eli in 2015, which sort of marked her comeback to Tamil cinema, Sadha made another comeback with Torchlight in 2018. “These gaps are unintentional,” she said. “I got busy with Telugu reality shows for three years, and was judging Jodi No 1. I also wasn’t happy with the films I was getting. I’m glad Torchlight happened.”[3]
