Princess Charlotte of Saxe-Altenburg

Princess Charlotte Agnes of Saxe-Altenburg (German: Prinzessin Charlotte Agnes von Sachsen-Altenburg; 4 March 1899  16 February 1989) was the eldest child of Ernst II, the last reigning duke of Saxe-Altenburg.

Marriage and family

On 11 July 1919 at Hemmelmark, she married Prince Sigismund of Prussia, the second son of Prince Heinrich of Prussia, brother of Wilhelm II, German Emperor.[1]

They had two children:

Her granddaughters, Donata and Edwina, are the only remaining senior members of the House of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
