Police x Heroine Lovepatrina! (ポリス×戦士 ラブパトリーナ!, Porisu x Senshi Rabupatorina!) is a Japanese tokusatsu TV drama series announced on May 28, 2020. It is the fourth installment in the Girls × Heroine! Series produced by Takara Tomy and OLM, Inc. with the assistance of Shogakukan and EXPG Studio.[1] The series is directed by Takashi Miike and stars Miyu Watanabe, Rina Yamaguchi, and Yui Yamashita. Additional cast members include Keiji Kuroki and Saeko Kamijo. The plot is centered around Lovepatrina, a group of young girls who protect love from Warupyoko who plans on removing love from the world to create his own.

Plot

"Police x Heroine Lovepatrina!" are lovable heroine's who will protect the love of everyone! When you receive the 110th conspiracy, dispatch at once to the secret headquarters! In order to bring back the love that has been taken away from people by the Warupyoko Troupe, even now, they must Love Arrest evil with a pat!

With the fluffy and cute Lovepyoko and Director Loveji, Lovepatrina must protect everyone's love!

Characters

Lovepatrina

Lovepatrina are a group of three girls who arrest the Lovezero and try to stop the Warupyoko Troupe from stealing the love from the world. In order to stop them, they transform using the Lovepat Shuffle (ラブパトシャッフル, Rabupato Shaffuru) and the Lovepat Wing (ラブパトウィング, Rabupato Uingu) which they use to attack. The Lovepat Cards (ラブパトカード, Rabupato Kaado) give them various abilities that they can use with the Lovepat Shuffle.

Tsubasa Aiba (愛羽ツバサ, Aiba Tsubasa)

Played by: Miyu Watanabe[3]
Tsubasa is a bright and energetic, love-filled girl who wants to protect love. Her mother is a famous novelist who is turned into a LoveZero. She transforms into the pink-colored Lovepat Pink (ラブパトピンク, Rabupato Pinku) . Her catchphrase is "Even if my love goes dark, my wings of love will go lalla love!". Her element is Animals.

Sarai Shihara (紫原サライ, Shihara Sarai)

Played by: Rina Yamaguchi[4]
Admiring the Girl Heroines for a long time, she’s a girl who loves sweets and is always bright and positive. She transforms into the purple-colored Lovepat Purple (ラブパトパープル, Rabupato Paapuru) and her catchphrase is "At any time, it's us! We're completely in love!". Her element is Sweets.

Kohana Aose (青瀬コハナ, Aose Kohana)

Played by: Yui Yamashita[5]
Kohana is a model student who’s good at both studying and sports. Additionally, she's a girl who loves to grow flowers. She transforms into the blue-colored Lovepat Blue (ラブパトブルー, Rabupato Buruu). Her catchphrase is "No matter who, everyone is a beautiful flower! To blossom, love must be in full bloom!". Her element is Flowers.

Secret Headquarters

Lovepyoko (ラブピョコ, Rabupyoko)

Voiced by: Saeko Kamijou
A cute and fluffy bunny-like ally who comes from a distant star called "Mimipyoko" who is searching for a love-filled person.

Director Loveji (ラブジー長官, Rabujii Choukan)

Played by: Keiji Kuroki[6]
At first glance, he is cool and his heart is lovely. He's the director who controls the Police x Heroine Lovepatrina, and he formed the group to protect earth's love from the Warupyoko Troupe.

Hayato Kenzaki (剣崎ハヤト, Kenzaki Hayato)

Played by: Iku Fujihara
The newcomer chief at Lovepat's secret headquarters. He loves Lovepat and gets excited easily. He's also a senior at Tsubasa's school.

Sora Nanairo (七色ソラ, Nanairo Sora)

Played by: Yura Sugiura
The girls' gentle classmate who loves looking at the sky. She cannot fight, she joins the headquarters as their Lovepat supporter.

Warupyoko Troupe

Warupyoko (ワルピョコ)

Voiced by: Toshiyuki Toyonaga
The boss of the Warupyoko Troupe who have come from the star "Mimipyoko". He tries to take the treasure called "Love" that the humans have in their hearts to try and create his own earth. He's childhood friends with Lovepyoko.

Warinne (ワリーヌ, Warinu)

Played by: Yuu Yashiro
The leader of the Warupyoko Troupe and surprisingly, she loves the indoors.

Pack (パック, Pakku)

Played by: BOB
The brain of the group, he packs people who are full of love and makes them Love Zeros.

Rincho (リンチョ)

Played by: Hosaki Tanaka
The powerhouse of the group, he takes away love.

Yuu Aiba (愛羽優, Aiba Yuu)

Played by: Sayaka Isoyama[7]
Tsubasa's mother, a novelist who wrote the series "The Great Detective Magure" that became a movie.

Production

On Oha Suta, a "big announcement" was revealed to be announced on May 28. From the big announcement, Police x Heroine Lovepatrina! was officially announced for the first time. The season stars Miyu Watanabe, Rina Yamaguchi and Yui Yamashita.[8] Lovepatrina was trademarked in February 2020.

Prior to this season, Sarai alredy appear in Phantomirage, serving as her background story. Producer later confirmed Sarai will return in Lovepatrina as a main characters. Watanabe also participated on LDH The Girls Audition in 2018. Yamashita was also a member of EXPG Lab. In addition to the main cast, supporting cast includes Keiji Kuroki (EXILE), Iku Fujihara (EXPG Lab), Yura Sugiura, Yuu Yashiro, BOB, Hosaki Tanaka and Sayaka Isoyama. Along with this, Saeko Kamijou voices Lovepyoko and narrator of Phantomirage, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, voices Warupyoko as well as is the narrator.[9][10]
