Pokémon: Twilight Wings

Pokémon: Twilight Wings (ポケットモンスター 薄明の翼, Poketto Monsutā Hakumei no Tsubasa) is a Japanese original net animation anime series produced by Studio Colorido[2] and released on YouTube by The Pokémon Company. It is a series inspired by the Pokémon Sword and Shield titles of the Pokémon video games, but it is not a part of the television series, similar to the preceding animations Origins and Generations. A total of seven episodes, each running for around five minutes, were announced, with the first episode being released on 15 January 2020 and further episodes to be released monthly.[3] The series was announced on 12 December 2019.[2] Certain Pokémon that appeared in the anime such as Dewgong, did not appear in the Sword and Shield games, making fans feel misled. In response The Pokemon Company issued a public apology.[4]

On 15 May 2020, it was announced that the fifth episode has been delayed to June 5 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]
