Palais Royale, Mumbai

Palais Royale is skyscraper under construction in Lower Parel, Mumbai. It is on land previously owned by Shree Ram Mills Ltd. It is the first supertall building in India to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum rating for environmental sustainability.[1] Permits for construction were granted in 2005,[4] and construction began in 2008. The project's progress has been stalled due to financial issues.[5][6] The site was put up for auction in May 2019 without any buyers.[7] Another auction was held in mid 2019, and the incomplete site was bought by a company named Honest Shelters for 705 crore.[4]

Design

The building will have 120 apartments with areas of between 740 and 1,300 square metres (8,000 and 14,000 sq ft).[8] With a floor plate of 2,300 square metres (25,000 sq ft), the premises have amenities like a cinema house, spa, cricket pitch, badminton court, football pitch and three swimming pools. It has 820,000 square metres (8.8×10^6 sq ft) of residential space.[9]
