One Sports (TV channel)

One Sports is a commercial sports-centric terrestrial and satellite television network in the Philippines. It is a joint venture of Nation Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), TV5 Network, Inc. and Cignal TV, Inc., all under the PLDT media arm MediaQuest Holdings. One Sports is currently carried through analog UHF channel 41 in Metro Manila, as well as in Cebu and Davao via UHF channel 29, and other relay stations; as well as on DWET-TV's digital terrestrial subchannel channel 5.2 in Metro Manila. It operates Monday to Saturday from 5:30 AM to 12:00 MN and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 12:00 MN.

The original One Sports channel was launched on January 9, 2019 on satellite provider Cignal, replacing Sports5-run Hyper. One Sports is the second MediaQuest channel launched under the One branding, along with the English-language news channel One News, Filipino-language news/talk channel One PH, premium entertainment channel One Screen, and major free TV channel One TV.[1]

On March 8, 2020, One Sports was relaunched as a free-to-air television channel, merging its programming with its counterpart 5 Plus; as TV5 Network's sports division adopted the same branding coinciding with the start of the 2020 PBA season. Meanwhile, the original satellite One Sports channel has been rebranded as One Sports+, making them as the fifth One-branded channel.[2]

From March 30 to June 14, 2020, the terrestrial network temporarily suspended its broadcast due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the enforcement of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.[3]
