The oldest buildings are a cookhouse and an old barn, built c.1885, soon after Thomas Cruse purchased the ranch.

Now the N Bar legacy lives on through their new ownership and operation by Wilks Ranches. Maintining the rich history of the ranch, Wilks Ranches pays tribute by running a cow calf black Angus operation true to the ranch's roots. They have maintained the historic structures and grown the famed N Bar ranch to include other large ranches under one operation preserving the land, the wildlife and the rich history of the ranch. http://www.wilksranches.com/ [2]
