Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College, Pandalam

Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College is located in Mangaram, Pandalam and was founded in 2005.[1] It is a self-financed college owned, financed and run by the Mannam Sugar Mills Co-operative Ltd.[2] The college is affiliated with KUHS. The college offers bachelor's degree course (B.A.M.S) and Post graduate course (MD) in the field of Ayurvedic Medicine.

History

The college is run by Mannam Sugar Mills Co-operative limited[3] which is a registered Co-operative society under the Department of Industries, Government of Kerala. The society was found by Shri Mannathu Padmanabhan in the year of 1960. He was the founder and the first chairman of the Mannam Sugar Mills. Later in the year of 2005, Mannam sugar Mills Co-operative Limited established an Ayurveda Medical college and 100 bedded Ayurveda Hospital with OP and consultation in eight departments.[4] In 2016, the college started its first postgraduate course affiliated with KUHSHS. PG was allotted in Dravyaguna Vijnan with a capacity of 4 students.
