Maida–Windygates Border Crossing
The Maida–Windygates Border Crossing connects the cities of Langdon, North Dakota and Morden, Manitoba on the Canada–United States border. It is connected by North Dakota Highway 1 in Cavalier County on the American side and Manitoba Highway 31 in the Municipality of Pembina on the Canadian side.

The US border station of Maida, which was built in 1961, was replaced in 2012.[1] The construction of this replacement border station required a local bar in Maida named Jacks Bar to be torn down.[2] Now the once booming town, originally established in 1884,[3] sits empty with only one resident.
The Windygates border station was built in 1963, and was slated to be replaced in 2017.[4]
