List of offenders executed in the United States in 2020
This is a list of offenders executed in the United States in 2020. As of June 28, 2020, six inmates have been executed in the United States in 2020, five by lethal injection and one by electrocution.[1] In addition, a total of nine death row inmates are currently scheduled to be executed in the remainder of the year.[2]
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of executions have been postponed and rescheduled. So far, Texas has postponed the executions of six inmates who were due to be executed in March, April, May, and June.[3][4][5] Tennessee has also postponed the executions of two inmates who were due to be executed in June and October.[6][7]
