KLKC changed from a news/talk format to a classic country format on September 7, 2013, re-branding as "Katy Country" to tie to the city's history with the Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad.[1]
On January 1, 2016, KLKC changed their format from classic country to sports, with programming from Fox Sports Radio.
