Joe Zakas

Joseph C. Zakas (born November 7, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois) is a Republican member of the Indiana State Senate representing the 11th district where he has served since 1982.[3] He replaced Dan Manion.[4] Zakas was the Republican nominee for Indiana's 3rd congressional district in 1996. He was defeated in the general election by Democrat Tim Roemer. Zakas lost renomination to the State Senate in 2018.[5]
