James H. Dickinson
James H. Dickinson is a lieutenant general of the United States Army currently serving as the deputy commander of the United States Space Command. He was confirmed in that role in September 2019.[2] Dickinson was nominated for promotion to general in June 2020.[3]

Prior to serving in his current position, Dickinson previously assumed command of the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command on January 5, 2017. He was commissioned in 1985 as a second lieutenant and since then, has held leadership positions from platoon leader to commanding general.
