Plot
In Horai Island, a woman resembling Kikyō, drops a green orb to the Cauldron of Resonance. It frees all four War Gods and the scars appear on the rest of all half-demon children. Ai, not affected by the gods, leaves the island to meet up with Inuyasha and his friends. They learn that one of the enemy gods used Kikyo's blood to create her doppelganger and placed the scar on Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, though they cannot resist it. The separated group arrive at the island, in order to help the children. There, Miroku and Sango distract Jūra, while Inuyasha confronts Ryūra.
As Ai reunites with the children, they head to the cauldron. When Inuyasha and Asagi end up in the dimension, they learn that the high priestess, Kanade, had died sealing the spheres of power fifty years ago. Before the two leave the cauldron, they obtain the sealed box. It is later stolen and used by the doppelganger, who breaks it to release the spheres and strengthen the gods. Inuyasha and the others defeat them, and Sesshomaru destroys the cauldron. When the spheres combine to create the final War God, Inuyasha and Kagome defeat it, by combining powers with the blessing of the spiritual fireflies. With the island gone, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and the children are freed from the curse. The children leave to explore the outside world.
