Inates is a village and rural commune in the Tillabéri Region of Niger.[1]

History
On 11 December, 2019, Inates was the site where one of the most devastating attacks in Niger had taken place. The Islamic State attacked a military post with guns, bombs and mortars, ultimately killing 71 Nigerien soldiers while some others were kidnapped.
