Gour Express is an interstate mail/express type train of Indian Railways connecting the city Kolkata with the cities of Malda Town and Balurghat.The train covers a distance of 349 Kilometers up to Malda and an additional distance of 95 Kilometers up to Balurghat with train No. 13153/13154 attached with Train No. 55721/55722 runs as a passenger train from Malda Town to Balurghat at an average speed of 43 kilometres per hour. AC First class,AC two tier,AC three tier,General class of coaches are available in it, all of them except General requires reservation. Tatkal scheme is available, but Pantry car is not there.

Timings

  1. 13153 leaves Sealdah around 22:15 everyday and reaches Malda Town at 6:15 next day and then it arrives through a slip route towards Balurghat and reaches there at 9:40
  2. 13154 departs Balurghat around 17:05 every day and arrives Malda Town around 21:15 and from there it departs around 21:35 and reaches Sealdah at 5:20 next day.

Traction:-

As the route is not fully electrified, a Malda Town based WDM-3A powers the train from Balurghat to Malda and vice versa, handing over to a Howrah based WAP7/WAP4 for the rest of the journey. A Barddhaman or Howrah WDM-3A is scarcely used nowadays.
