Education

Sarwar was born in the Bengal Presidency (now Bangladesh), British India. He graduated with Honours in commerce from the Govt College of Commerce in Chittagong[1][2] and also received his Masters in Business Management from the University of Dhaka.

War Crime and Islamist Controversies

Ghulam Sarwar is a suspected perpetrator of crimes against humanity during the 1971 Bangladesh genocide [3]. He is also director of the Muslim Educational Trust (MET) and author of Islam: Beliefs and Teachings, which advocates Islam as a holistic way of life.
