Upon its release, Frame & Canvas received critical acclaim from critics and fans alike, and is considered a staple album of 90's emo rock. Despite the success of the album, Braid disbanded in 1999, and it was their last full-length studio album featuring new material for 16 years until the release of No Coast in 2014.
