Democracy and Progress Party

The Democracy and Progress Party (Turkish: Demokrasi ve Atılım Partisi lit.'Democracy and Enterprise Party',[7] DEVA)[8] is a Turkish liberal political party founded on 9 March 2020 under the leadership of Ali Babacan. The official abbreviation "DEVA" (means Remedy in Turkish) according to the party statute. The icon silhouette of the sapling in the water drop. Its Chairman is Ali Babacan.

History

DEVA Party Founders Board

DEVA Party is a political party in Turkey formed by former Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan. After its foundation, the party is represented with one seat in the Grand National Assembly, as MP Mustafa Yeneroğlu is one of its founders.[9][10] The founders of the party include MP Mustafa Yeneroğlu, former Minister of Justice Sadullah Ergin, former Balıkesir mayor Ahmet Edip Uğur, former Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergün and former Minister of State Selma Aliye Kavaf.[9] Babacan was elected the party chairman unanimously in the first founders' meeting on 10 March 2020.[11] He announced the official logo and the agenda of the party on 11 March 2020, at the launch event of the party.
