Darvin Kidsy

Darvin Kidsy Jr. (born March 19, 1995) is an American football wide receiver for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Texas and Texas Southern.

College career

Kidsy began his career at the University of North Texas, where he played for three seasons. He appeared 36 games, catching 48 passes for 539 yards and two touchdowns. He transferred to Texas Southern University after his junior year and was forced to sit out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer rules. In his redshirt senior season, Kidsy had 38 receptions for 519 yards and three touchdowns.[1]

Professional career

Kidsy signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2018 after participating in a rookie minicamp with the team.[2] He was cut by the Redskins at the end of training camp and subsequently re-signed to the team's practice squad on September 2, 2018.[3] Kidsy was promoted to the Redskins active roster on December 20, 2018.[4] He made his NFL debut on December 22, 2018 against the Tennessee Titans.[5] He caught his first career pass, an eight-yard reception from Josh Johnson, in the Redskins’ final game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

On August 31, 2019, Kidsy was waived by the Redskins.[6] He was re-signed to the practice squad on October 2, 2019.[7] He was promoted to the active roster on December 7, 2019.[8]
