El Clásico Nacional (The National Classic) is a Honduran football match played between C.D. Olimpia and C.D. MARATHON. The Classic began in September 1928 when C.D. Olimpia, at that time Central Zone champion, won its three match final series against [[C.D. MARATHON]. This event created the fierce National Classic.
