Chito S. Roño

Chito Saldana Veloso Roño (born April 26, 1954), also known as Sixto Kayko and Chito S. Roño, is a Filipino writer, film producer and film director known for his expansive vision and special-effects-heavy films, most notably Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure (2001) for which he won the Metro Manila Film Festival for best director.[1] He is also known for his 1997 film Nasaan ang Puso which earned him his first MMFF for best director.

He is well-known for Directing Grand Slam Actresses Maricel Soriano (Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (1993) and Separada (1994) Lorna Tolentino In Narito Ang Puso Ko In 1992 and Patayin Sa Sindak Si Barbra (Remake In 1995) Vivian Velez in Kasalanan Bang Sambahin Ka (1990) and the tv remake and Philippine adaptation of Maria Mercedes (2013-2014) he also directed Vilma Santos in the critically acclaimed Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa He accomplished a feat for directing box office horror genre hits such as Feng Shui Series starring Kris Aquino (2004,2014) and Sukob (2006) co billing Claudine Barretto In 2015 he also took another literary adaptation of Etiquette for Mistresses with Claudine Barretto Kris Aquino comedian Cheena Crab and Iza Calzado and Kim Chiu in top Billings. 2018 his film Signal Rock was nominated in the oscars
