Berekum Municipal District
The Berekum Municipal District[2] is one of the twenty-two (22) districts of the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Due to the separation of the Brong Ahafo Region into three separate regions, Berekum Municipal is now located in the Bono Region. Berekum Municipal is now part of the 12 of Municipalities and Districts in the Bono Region. Its capital is Berekum.[3]

History
Berekum Municipal District was created with the splitting of the former Berekum-Jaman District in 1989.
