Asmi Shrestha

Asmi Shrestha (Nepali: अश्मी श्रेष्ठ) (born 30 June 1993 in Tandi, Chitwan) is a Nepalese model, Miss Nepal titleholder and celebrity.[2] She is the winner of the Miss Nepal 2016 beauty contest and represented Nepal at the Miss World 2016 contest.[3] Prior to participating in the Miss Nepal competition, Asmi won the Face of Classic Diamond Jewellers competition in 2014[4]

Shrestha obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ace Institute of Management, Kathmandu in 2016.[5][6]

Career

Shrestha started her modelling career, at 16, at the Classic Diamond Jewellers in 2010. She was also featured in Sonam Tashi Gurung's music video called "Birsana Sakinna" in 2012.[7]

In 2014, she competed in the Face of Diamond category at the Classic Diamond Jewellers, where she won the main title.[8]

Miss Nepal 2016

In 2016, Shrestha participated in the Miss Nepal 2016 competition as contestant number 11, winning best evening gown, miss photogenic, and miss personality before taking the title of Miss Nepal World 2016.[9][10][11][12][13]

Miss World 2016

Shrestha rose to Top 5 in the Beauty with a Purpose category at Miss World 2016.[14]
